Advanced imaging. Clearer answers. Better treatment decisions.

If you have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, one of the first questions you are likely to ask is:

Has the cancer spread?

The answer can have a major impact on your treatment options.

At the UPNT Advanced Imaging & Therapy Center, we offer PSMA PET/CT imaging, one of the most accurate imaging tools available for evaluating prostate cancer. By providing a clearer picture of where cancer is located, PSMA PET/CT helps physicians make more informed treatment recommendations and helps patients move forward with confidence.

Whether your scan is ordered by a UPNT physician or a physician outside our practice, our goal is the same: to provide accurate imaging, timely results, and an exceptional patient experience. A physician’s order is required for PSMA PET/CT imaging.

Receiving Your Results

For UPNT Patients

Your scan results become part of your overall prostate cancer care plan. Your treating physician will review the findings with you and discuss how they may affect treatment recommendations.

For Patients Referred by Other Physicians

We welcome referrals from urologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and other physicians throughout Texas and beyond.

Once your scan is complete, a detailed report is promptly sent to the physician who ordered the study. Your physician will review the results with you and discuss any recommended next steps.

Patients remain under the care of their referring physician unless an additional consultation with a UPNT prostate cancer specialist is specifically requested.

Why Is PSMA PET/CT Different?

Conventional CT and bone scans evaluate changes in anatomy or bone activity. PSMA PET/CT works differently by using a radioactive tracer that targets PSMA, a protein commonly found in high amounts on prostate cancer cells.
