Dr. Matthew Schwenke was born in Tampa, Florida. As a young boy, he grew up with his mother, father and two sisters. He is a noteworthy Interventional Radiologist with over 8 years of experience in minimally invasive image-guided procedures. Dr. Schwenke graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles. He then went on to earn his Medical Doctorate from the University of Central Florida.
While getting his engineering degree, he broke his wrist playing basketball and needed surgery. During his treatment, he met the doctor that would lead Dr. Schwenke to answer his calling as an Interventional Radiologist. He is thrilled to join UPNT and bring new opportunities to help improve the lives of North Texas patients through minimally invasive treatments for urinary issues such as benign prostatic hyperplasia, gynecological issues like uterine fibroids and adenomyosis, as well as chronic musculoskeletal pain and even hemorrhoids!
