At Urology Partners of North Texas (UPNT), we are committed to providing the best possible medical care in an environment that protects the health and safety of our patients, guests and staff. Now that a national emergency has been declared to combat the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we are taking necessary precautions in the way we interact with patients and guests.
Here is a list of actions that UPNT is implementing to protect our patients and guests from exposure to coronavirus.
- We are monitoring all of the information and recommendations coming from the Center for Disease Control, Texas State Health Department, local hospitals and local county health department.
- We ask all patients and guests who have a fever or respiratory symptoms to stay home. Please do not come to the UPNT offices.
- We insist that all patients and guests who have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or who exhibits symptoms of the coronavirus stay home. Do not come to the UPNT offices.
- We require all patients and guests who have traveled to a high-risk area (China, Iran, Italy, South Korea and Japan) within 14 days to stay home. Do not come to the UPNT offices.
- Our physicians, physician-assistants and office staff are required to follow the same guidelines.
- Our doctors and staff members are diligent about using hand sanitizer and thoroughly washing their hands with soap and water before and after contact with every patient or guest.
- We have increased our cleaning protocols for all patient-care areas and are diligently cleaning all surfaces that patients and guests come in contact with.
- For everyone’s protection, we strongly advise against shaking hands and high-five hand slaps.
- We are currently screening all patients and guests who enter our offices for COVID-19 symptoms, exposure and travel risks. Anyone determined to have possible exposure will be asked to leave the office and reschedule their visit via telephone or our online portal.
- We will isolate any patient, guest or staff member who comes to the office exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or who may have been exposed to the virus.
Further actions will be taken as necessary to protect our patients, guests and staff. Please help us minimize this outbreak by adhering to these policies.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.
